What we do
Focus Areas
At SPAG Women Forward Initiative, we address the interconnected challenges faced by women, children, and communities through our six focus areas. Our programs are designed to
- Empower women and children with education, economic opportunities, and healthcare
- Promote human rights, social justice, and gender equality
- Foster resilient communities through sustainable livelihoods, food security, and climate change mitigation
- Support the well-being and development of children, particularly those affected by HIV/AIDS
- Amplify the voices of women and children, ensuring their participation and leadership in decision-making processes
By addressing these critical areas, we aim to create a more just, equitable, and prosperous world where women, children, and communities can thrive.
Our focus areas include:

Food Security and Climate Change
We work with smallholder farmers, particularly women, to improve food security and promote sustainable agriculture practices.

Livelihoods
We provide vocational training, financial literacy, and business development support to empower women and youth

Women and Children's Rights
We advocate for the rights of women and children, ensuring they live in dignity, free from discrimination, violence, and inequality

Education
We focus on early childhood development, adult literacy, and improving WASH structures in schools.

Healthcare
We work to prevent mother-to-child transmission of HIV, reduce new HIV and STI infections, and empower young women to take charge of their sexual and reproductive health.
